Grief & Loss – PEACEFUL YOU
None of us can go through life without experiencing grief and loss. It is part of the human condition from the time we are young and lose our favorite stuffed animal, to the moment when it is our time to face our own immortality. Each loss we experience is different from the next. Every person experiences grief and loss in their own unique way. Yet – common and expected as it is – loss is never easy.
The emptiness in grief due to death can seem like it is swallowing us up whole. The fear and confusion of the loss of a job can put us into a perpetual state of panic. No matter the type of loss or the depth of grief, we always want to escape it because the emotions are so intense and profound.
Yet – through grief & loss therapy, you learn that there is no way around, or past these emotions. Grief is a journey that must be gone through, trudged through, struggled through. But when there is guidance, a beacon of light held out for you during your journey, then - it is bearable. When there is support from a therapist who has been through the journey several times and come out whole on the other side, then you discover that healing is possible.
Don’t wait for “time to heal all wounds,” it rarely does. Instead, walk the journey with a supportive guide and come through to the other side of your grief journey as a more PEACEFUL YOU.
