Privacy & Policy

Therapy Guidelines - Privacy & Confidentiality

As a client, one of your most important rights is that of confidentiality.  Information obtained during therapy sessions will be confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone outside the therapy session without your written consent.  There are a few exceptions to enforcement of this right:

  • When the therapist has reason to believe you may be harmful to yourself or others
  • When the therapist suspects that a child is being abused or neglected
  • When the therapist receives a signed order or subpoena signed by a municipal judge ordering the release of information regarding your treatment

In the event any of the three foregoing situations should occur, the therapist will be legally compelled to take appropriate action.

Additional Information
To assure quality in the delivery of therapeutic services, the therapist may consult with colleagues to review your treatment plan and subsequent progress.  These colleagues are also bound by the same rules of confidentiality.  This process is called "Peer Review," the purpose of which is to maintain the quality and efficacy of the treatment process.

Life Coaching - Privacy & Confidentiality

Additional Information
